God Protects

Last night I had two dreams that I will not go into. I woke with a heaviness and an emotion stirring within me. I started to cry or wanted to and understood that I needed to pray. I fell to the floor as usual and began immediately speaking in my prayer language. Right away I saw a bullet coming towards me. I could see it so clearly - every detail and it was magnified to a very large size. I didn't get the feeling that I was being shot - but just that I was observing.

I then saw what looked to be a teenager or college student crouched against the wall. He was scared. No one else was around him. I saw that he was in a school of some kind. I began to pray more intensely until a face shot up in front of me. It was the one who was planning the attack or was going to attack. He looked to be in his twenties but I really couldn't tell. So many high school students today look older. He had hair at shoulder length - brown. I also saw another face flash up in the distance. I believed that it was someone who was helping him - or it could have been the one planning the attack but only at a distance. I wasn't sure.

I prayed in the spirit - my stomach groaned and tears fell. I didn't see anyone else get shot or shot at. I wasn't sure if the man was trying to attack a certain person or if his attack was going to target a school of some kind.

I then saw Jesus dressed in white and surrounded by a white glow. He approached the student from behind. Jesus leaned over to him, and then took his arm and raised him to his feet. He then took the young man by the arm and walked out of the building with him. As soon as Jesus walked out of the door with him, my tears stopped, I took in a deep breath, and it was over.

Praise God for our protection!

A Day of Intercession

July 20, 2010

Morning . . .

I awoke from a dream:

A friend of mine was upset and telling me all about it. Though I didn't get details of the whole message I did receive this: "Then the fire came up and suddenly everything started spiraling out of control."

I woke up feeling as if she were overwhelmed by something - upset about something that had become out of her control. I will check on her today.

One Lost - Now Found

This morning as I worked on a Bible study I am writing I came to the lesson on Tamar. As I read through the scripture I came to the place where she was raped by her half brother. My heart stirred. Emotion swelled within and I started to pray in the Spirit. I had no idea what was happening just that my Spirit was stirred at that moment and the Lord called me into prayer.

I quickly fell on my face before the Lord - tears streaming down my cheeks. I said to the Lord, " I accept the task Lord. What is happening."

At first, pictures of women who I knew had been hurt in similar ways, shot before my eyes. My stomach hurt - ached - groaned. I doubled over from grief for the pain the women experienced. It was almost as if I could feel their pain - it was horrendous.

Then suddenly as I have seen before - a picture unfolded before my eyes - like a movie. As the picture became more visible my heart groaned even more and the tears flowed more rapidly. My lips began to move more rapidly. I usually know what I am praying about - but in this case the Lord did not reveal to me the words being spoken. I only saw it through the picture He was unfolding before my eyes.

I saw a secluded area. The grass was tall and thick. The wind blew west as I could see the blades on the grass flowing that way. I saw large rocks - maybe like you would see by a river or something but I did not see the water. There was an opening - like a clearing in a field. To the east and north there were trees - thick - like a forest. I saw the large grey rocks sticking out of the grassy field - I did not see a lot of rocks just some large ones scattered throughout the field.

I then saw a man's legs and feet. I could see his heavy boots - like mountain boots or hiking boots. He wore blue jeans and I saw that in his right hand he carried a shot gun or a rifle of some sort and held it to his right side down by his right leg. He came upon the rock with the thick grass flowing against it. As I continued to pray it was as if the Lord opened my view to see even more. My stomach heaved and  my heart ached an ache that is indescribable  - and then I saw it - the skeleton of a young woman who I knew in my spirit had been raped and killed.  I cried even more over the thought of it - as if I knew her but I did not. I understood that God's heart hurt too - pain seeped.

Then my eyes turned toward the forest and the trees. I saw around a hundred people of all ages walk out from the trees into the clearing. They were all dressed in white robes. I didn't understand what was happening. It felt as if they were present when she was found. It was strange but glorious all at the same time - As if heaven were standing right there in the clearing with her.

The Lord did not reveal to me who she was or the details of what happened. I asked the Lord, "What do you want me to do Lord?" "Why are you showing me this?" I heard him say, "So that she will be found."

I then took in a deep breath and the tears suddenly stopped as if a water faucet had been turned off. My grief and ache in my heart ceased and I knew that the task was over - and that someone who had been missing for a while would be found.

Though painful - the family may have rest.

Intercession for Others

April 18, 2005

I felt tired all day today. I have been cranky as well. “I need rest Lord.” I need strength. On this particular day, because of how I was feeling, my husband decided to us out to dinner.

The rains poured and the sky darkened. No wonder I felt so tired. I immediately received strength and nourishment as we sat around the table and ate our meal. Conversation flowed and we enjoyed the company of one another.

Towards the end of the meal, I began to get a stirring in my heart. Something felt wrong. Tearful emotions swept over me. An anxious feeling crept in as I blurted out to my husband, “Something is wrong.”

“I need to pray,” I said to myself. I am still learning how to deal with the emotions that creep in during those moments when I am in public. "What do I do? Where do I go? Show me Lord."

I asked my husband to check on my oldest son who was at home. We received a call from him earlier stating that it was hailing and the electricity went off. My husband called and found that my son was fine.

The feeling intensified. I stirred in my seat. My heart hurt. Something was wrong. “Lord, please reveal to me what is going on,” I murmured beneath my breath.

A strong need to fall upon my face began to take control. I stood up and walked out side. I stood at the entrance waiting on the rest of my family. I inhaled slowly as to calm my nerves. “Okay relax,” I said peering out at the dark clouds. The smell of sweet fresh rain lingered in the air. Moistness fell upon my face. Even in the midst of tranquility, my heart beat a thousand times, as the rustling in my stomach echoed.

I began to pray as if I had no control. Words from the unknown language seeped through and it had begun. I was intervening for something or someone that God had not yet revealed. The emotion was real as I fought back the tears. I did not want to fall apart in front of everyone. “Hold it together!” I shouted to myself as I continued to pray. I took deep long breathes in to control it as I walked towards our car. My family stepped up right behind me and we entered the car to leave.

“Do you feel any better?” my husband asked.

“No its still there,” I told him.

It was but a moment on the road when my husband’s cell phone rang. At that moment, I could hold back the tears no longer. I closed my eyes and continued with prayer. A deep pain remained in the center of my stomach. "This is so draining!" I thought. The prayer intensified.

Something was wrong. I heard my husband‘s tone change and I knew that whatever I was praying about had to do with his phone conversation right then.

“Oh no,” I heard him say. “Well let’s pray right now,” He told the person on the other line.

I closed my eyes as the Holy Spirit came upon me. Tears flowed in the silence.

My husband prayed. As soon as he finished praying, I inhaled a deep breath and suddenly released every emotion that had hold of me. The emotion left as quickly as it came. It was over. The task was finished.

. . . Something was wrong that day. Someone called to share about a friend who at that very moment was going through strong withdrawals from alcohol. I believe this person was in a rehabilitation center at that very moment. This person cried out to a friend and the friend cried out to his pastor.

Thank you God, that we can be used in this way. Use us Lord.
